No one I have read about had problems with Honda's dct stuff worth mentioning.. So now worries there.. Ps. Unfortunately I have only ridden the 2017 DCT for a short while on marble like gravel & did find that it is a lot easier without needing to worry about which gear you are in.. First two tanks of gas took a 1.6-2.3 mpg hit but this mornings fill up I was actually better than before. 47.69 mpg. Best $150 I have spent for mine so far!
The procedure above is not the correct one to clear 6-1 & 6-2 (ABS related) You need to follow pg 20-7. How to erase the DTC without MCS. 1. Connect the SCS connector to the DLC (page 4-6). 2. Hi All, I'm new to the forum. I joined because I'm about to purchase an Africa Twin Adventure Sport ES. 2022 model. I'm leaning towards the manual clutch model rather than the DCT. I can see where the DCT is a bit safer, easier, and more convenient. Especially in rush hour traffic. But I'm not convinced it's the right choice off-road. 2019 Brand New Africa Twin DCT Problems. I purchased a new 2019 DCT Honda Africa Twin from the dealership. The bike had 9 miles on it when I picked it up. At pickup it was raining extremely hard so I asked the dealer to load the bike on my pickup. SharpEye Discussion starter. 22 posts · Joined 2021. #1 · Sep 14, 2021 (Edited) I own 2021 AT L1 DCT. When I come to a stop (faster than usual) and want to move back quickly, the engine sometimes stalls (ON DCT) on the 1st gear at a very low speed, and I have to hit start again.. :/ So annoying….
No running the risk of ruining the (existing) battery with jumping or improper charging and still being stuck out in the Bush. Weight and size factor may be close, besides, in that 60 pounds of gear, you could probably trade out something un-needed. Cost, probably more outlay upfront. Signature. .
